SPACEBAR GALLERY is a vibrant gallery located in the Salamanca Arts Centre in Hobart run by two artists, Lorena Cabezas and Melly Frank who are both passionate about the support and promotion of Tasmanian art and design.

SPACEBAR opened its doors in December 2010 and has continued to support emerging, mid-career and established artists, proudly promoting locally made art and design to returning locals and visitors.

SPACEBAR never fails to delight its visitors, showcasing a diverse range of high quality locally made contemporary jewellery, clothing, accessories, quirky ceramics, original artworks, greeting cards, sustainable food packaging and homewares.

RETURNS | REFUNDS

As a small gallery supporting local artists and handmade designs we do not offer refunds for a change of mind. We can offer exchange at our discretion and in accordance with the artists' policies. This is in line with Australian consumer law. There is an exception relating to clothing and you may find the appropriate returns policy in the Brand's description.

The following applies to all other products:

If you receive an item in a damaged condition or is deemed faulty by SPACEBAR, we can offer you either a full refund, an exchange or a repair of the item within a reasonable time frame from the date we have received the item.

Please email us a photo of the damaged packaging as received as well as a photo of the damage on the item to assist us on a claim.

If an item is deemed to be faulty Spacebar Gallery will gladly refund you for the cost of postage also.

Any returned item must be in its original condition that it was received with tags and unused.

We will respond as quickly as we can. 


SHIPPING

We dispatch orders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and will inform you when it leaves our gallery to you. The time of arrival of your parcel will depend on where it is being sent. For parcels within Australia it is generally 2-5 business days.  

Express post is an option with additional cost. You will be issued a tracking number once your order is sent so you can keep up to date. 

When you place an order, shipping rate will be calculated once you have entered your address and then  based on the shipping options you choose.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full gram and includes the weight of the packaging for ceramics.

 

International Parcels Currently not available

We will resume Overseas options once the Covid - 19 issue restrictions have ended.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products or quantities, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.If you have any doubt please check with your country's customs office before ordering. If you have ordered and customs holds your parcel you should be notified by them. 

We use Australia Post international pack and track to ship your items and for most destinations it will take 5-10  business days to arrive. You will be provided a tracking number to check the status of your package. If your parcel has not arrived within 2 weeks, please check your tracking and contact your local post office for assistance.
